Mt Gimli Valhalla Park - guided

Mt. Gimli 9100 ft Valhalla park BC
- South East ridge, 5.9, 8 pitches, 3rd. class descent, 4 - 7 hours

Pitch 1) 5.9+
Climb 3-4 “ crack for 15 meters capped by an owerhang. Exit right to a stand.

Pitch 2) 5.7
Go up and then left and climb the ridge crest to the first notch.

Pitch3) 5.8
Climb obvious flake and up over fun face moves. Traverse around a corner to the right.
climb hand crack for 10 m and traverse left to good belay ledge.

Pitch 4) 5.7
Go left and climb hand crack / flake. Continue up easier ground to the large ledge system.
Move your belay as high as possible.

Pitch 5) 5.8
Climb face cracks and stay on the ridge crest. Follow face crack ( 1 “) for 25 m and go left to the corner .

Pitch 6) 5.9+
Climb corner crack underneath an overhang and then left ( crux) . Move up and cimb slabs for 10 m to the station.

Pitch 7) 5.7
Easy ground to small overlap, stay right and find old pin. Move left on a slap move and continue up.

Pitch 8) 5.4
Climb slabs for 60 - 100 m or simuclimb to the top.

Descent:

Downclimb East ridge 3rd class
